Concrete work in Concord
Concord has grown dramatically over the past two decades, and that growth left a very clear pattern in the concrete we are called out to look at. The subdivisions that went up in the late 1990s and 2000s off Poplar Tent Road, Weddington Road and around Afton Ridge are now twenty to twenty-five years old, and builder-grade driveways from that era were frequently poured at four inches with wire mesh over minimal base. Many are cracking in the same way at the same time.
Meanwhile, historic downtown Concord and the older streets around it have the opposite problem: concrete that has lasted a very long time but is now genuinely worn out, on properties where matching the character of the street matters. We do a fair amount of sidewalk and front-walk replacement in these neighborhoods where the goal is a clean, appropriate finish rather than the cheapest possible slab.
On the commercial side, Concord's retail and light-industrial corridors keep us busy with parking area flatwork, loading pads, ADA-compliant sidewalk and curb ramp work, and equipment foundations. We are comfortable working around an operating business and staging pours to minimize disruption.
