Most failed concrete in this region failed underneath, not on top. We excavate to depth, remove soft spots and compact crushed stone in lifts — because a thick slab on a bad base still cracks.

Rebar goes in on chairs at the specified height with correct concrete cover and proper lap lengths. We never lay steel on the ground and pull it up mid-pour — it ends up nowhere useful.

Angular drainage stone, filter fabric and a daylighted drain line behind every retaining wall, and correct fall on every slab. Water is what destroys concrete in the Carolinas.

Control joints at correct spacing, cut within the first day before shrinkage stress finds its own path. It is the difference between a tidy planned crack and a slab that splits where it wants.

Curing compound, blankets or wet cover depending on the weather — and no water added to the mix on site. You paid for the strength; we make sure the concrete actually reaches it.
