Concrete work in Monroe
Monroe sits near the outer edge of our 30-mile radius and gives us a genuinely different mix of work than the inner suburbs. Alongside standard residential driveways and walks, we pour a lot of agricultural and utility slabs here — equipment pads, barn and shop floors, grain and feed storage bases, and heavy-duty aprons designed for tractors and trucks rather than passenger cars.
Those slabs are engineered differently. Load concentration from equipment tires is far higher than from a car, so thickness goes up, rebar replaces mesh, and the base has to be compacted properly in lifts rather than dumped and graded. Where a slab will see chemical exposure or constant washdown, drainage and slope planning become part of the design rather than an afterthought.
Monroe also has an active industrial base, and we do commercial work here: loading dock aprons, equipment foundations, parking flatwork and ADA-compliant sidewalk sections. On the residential side, the older neighborhoods around downtown have the usual aging concrete, and the newer growth toward the west has the same 2000s-subdivision driveway pattern we see across Union County.
At 25 miles we are still within our standard service area, with no travel surcharge.
